BJP leader Subramanian Swamy’s controversial allegation that Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi is shown as a British citizen in some documents, will create repercussions across the country, particularly in political circles.
Incontrovertibly, the Congress’s explanations are far from satisfactory and to eliminate apprehension, Mr Gandhi should himself clarify. Shrouding the issue with obscure clarifications will not work.
