Sir — This refers to the editorial, “More loyal than the kingIJ” (May 3). Doordarshan has never been accountable to its viewers, and it will never be unless it is unshackled by the Government.
The manner in which Doordarshan edited prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi’s interview, perhaps to suit the desires of its political bosses, is disgusting. The national broadcaster, which is funded by public money, should not conduct itself in a partisan manner.
