Sir — Despite the unresolved border dispute between India and China, the challenge before the two countries is to build a bilateral relationship that benefits both. True, the scars of the 1962 India-China conflict are still there, but we have to move forward. The best way ahead for India is to consolidate economic cooperation with China, while at the same time try to resolve the long-standing border issue amicably.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi should use his forthcoming visit to China in May to strengthen India-China ties, even though there are sharp differences between the two nations on many fronts.
