Sir — This refers to the editorial, “People power prevails” (October 4). Mr Rahul Gandhi knew that the ordinance was aimed at protecting tainted MPs and MlAs.
He should have opposed it in the initial stage when it was discussed in the Union Cabinet. Or else he should have vented his views when the Bill was tabled in Parliament. If Mr Gandhi was really interested in ending corruption in the corridors of power, he would have supported Anna Hazare’s agitation for a strong lokpal Bill.
