Sir — This refers to the report, “‘Congress doesn’t need certificate on patriotism from anyone’” (January 8). The party’s approach to the terror boat issue is deplorable and highly questionable. The Congress needs to sincerely and seriously ponder over what its own response would have been if a similar incident had happened during its regime and the BJP had posed exactly the same questions to it.
Just as there are no ‘good terrorists’ and ‘bad terrorists’, there also are no ‘good patriots’ and ‘bad patriots’. The Congress seems to be stubbornly set on a course of blind confrontation, not constructive opposition.
