Sir — This refers to the report “l-G Kejri in ‘Jung’ over supremacy” (May 4). It seems Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is in confrontational situation with lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung once again. Mr Kejriwal’s instruction to all the departments not to route files through the lieutenant Governor’s office, seems to be inappropriate. He has to abide by the provisions of the Constitution, the Government of National Capital Territory of Delhi Act 1991 and the Transaction of Business Rules 1993, till the time they exist.
In his earlier 47-day stint, Mr Kejriwal had confronted Mr Jung on the Jan lokpal Bill and had to resign on the issue. Mr Kejriwal holds a constitutional post and he should govern by complying, not defying, statutory provisions.
