Sir — This refers to the report, “India rises to 100th spot in rankings” (May 5). It is a matter of delight and honour that after a gap of two decades, Indian national team has become one among the top 100 teams in Fédération Internationale de Football Association rankings.
Though, we are still nowhere near football giants like Brazil and Argentina, the team’s laudable performance in the recent international matches proclaims that we can scale great heights. As the team now bubbles with spirit and optimism, what we need is persistent training and proper guidance under world-class coaches to accomplish the dream.
