Sir — This refers to the article, “The foot soldiers of Hindi” (September 16) by Vivek Shukla. There are several Hindi scholars and writers from countries like Japan, South Korea, Russia, the US and the UK who are doing a fantastic job promoting the cause of Hindi.
And they are doing this because they genuinely care for this language and the Indian culture more than the scholars of this country. This effectively demolishes the claim that Hindi’s reach is confined to this country. One looks forward to reading more novels and articles authored by scholars of Hindi from various countries.
