This refers to the article, “Babri mosqueIJ Or was it Aurangzebi mosqueIJ” (March 2) by Rajesh Singh. In their zeal to make Aurangzeb appear secular, the left-liberals, which include the Congress, appear to have whitewashed Aurangzeb’s nefarious activities in Ayodhya. In any other country — including leftist-ruled and Christian-majority nations — Mughal bigots like Aurangzeb would have been properly assessed and depicted in their true colours in history books and public lives.
But the left-Nehruvian stranglehold on our educational system has ensured that the diabolical exploits of certain rulers were downplayed and their so-called good side was highlighted in history books.
