Sir — This refers to the report, “Prison break turns final destination” (November 1). The biggest lesson that must be drawn from this incident is that all cases of terrorism should now onwards be decided in fast-track courts, in a time-bound manner. It may be recalled that delayed trial made Indian Government release dreaded terrorists in the infamous IC-814 plane-hijack case at Kandahar.
The Opposition too has a larger role to play. In the interest of the nation, opposition parties must avoid political encounters in such sensitive cases to avoid Pakistan taking advantage in name of human rights.
