Sir — This refers to the article, “‘Devi’ Mayawati and her politics of hate” (July 27) by Rajesh Singh. Even if we give full marks to Bahujan Samaj Party supremo Mayawati for rising from a community of untouchables to rule one of the biggest State of India, but she failed miserably as a ruler. All her strategy to bring Brahmins, OBCs, Dalits and Muslims together did not bring a golden era for Uttar Pradesh.
