Sir — This refers to the report, “Yashwant denies making jibe at Modi” (February 1). Even as senior BJP leader Yashwant Sinha contended that his remarks had been “completely misunderstood”, he has failed to convince the people.
Mr Sinha said, “The people of India will consign him to the dust. You just have to wait for the next elections”. Clearly, Mr Sinha was critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi as the Congress has already been consigned to one corner and no one else counts at the national level as Mr Modi’s opponent. A convoluted explanation for easily comprehensible words only succeeds to stir the pot further. Mr Sinha owes an explanation.
