Sir — This refers to the editorial, “India’s fifth eye in space” (January 22). With the launch of the fifth navigation satellite called IRNSS-1E, India stands at a distinguished position now. We will have our own navigation system. The Indian Space Research Organisation deserves credit for this achievement.
The Union Government must now allocate more funds to develop research and innovation in our country, to have more state of art technology which is the hallmark of any aspiring nation that wants to be acknowledged on the international stage.
