This refers to the editorial, “Talk, but talk on terror” (December 5). The attack on the Pathankot Air Force base is yet another attempt by the extremist forces in Pakistan to perpetrate terror on Indian soil and prevent both sides from leveraging strategic and cultural interests.
With the Army dominating the commanding heights of policy in Pakistan, it will be in India’s interest to continue with its policy of diplomatic protest rather than adopt a muscular approach towards a nuclear neighbour. It is time the Narendra Modi Government talks tough on terror.
