On Independence Day, even as we remember the sacrifices made by those who fought bravely for India, it is a pity that after the celebrations are over, our national flag is strewn on the streets and people walk all over them. Even when the national anthem is played, people no longer stand up. They remain glued to their mobile phones. As Indians, we must show respect for our national flag, national anthem and national song. It is because of the sacrifices by our freedom-fighters that we live in a free country as free citizens.
