Sir — This refers to Girdhar Gomango’s reported acceptance that he had misused his controversial vote in the lok Sabha, which resulted in the single-vote defeat of the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Government, and now his resignation from the Congress. The irony of the Indian political system is that same very Mr Gomango is now being reported to be joining the BJP. This is not the first case of its kind. The BJP, which had once stalled the lok Sabha proceedings repeatedly on the Sukh Ram corruption episode, later shook hands with the same controversial leader for power-sharing.
