Sir — We should welcome the move of the Government to crack down on certain non-Government organisations and cancel their licences. We know how some of these NGOs have been acting as foreign agents and working against the interests of the country, by raising an unnecessary hue and cry on environment issues to stall important projects. They also instigate the tribal population against the Government with mischievous propaganda, so that development is halted.
