Sir — This refers to the editorial, “Many a slip twixt a cup...” (February 25). At present, a major concern is whether India has peaked prematurely in the World Cup tournament. The players cannot afford to let over-confidence creep into their performance. As India takes on the lesser lights of cricket, it is important not to underestimate the latter.
MS Dhoni and his men should play to win. Aggression must be tempered with caution, as they march towards the last eight. The aim should be to top the group, so that the team’s march towards the semi-finals can be that much easier.
