Sir — The drubbing that the BJP and the Congress have received in the Delhi Assembly election is mind-boggling. At least for now, Mr Arvind Kejriwal appears to have halted the Narendra Modi juggernaut. The AAP’s victory is a triumph of superior strategising and meticulous planning. Probably, Mr Kejriwal won the people’s heart when, at every given opportunity, he sincerely apologised to the people of Delhi for his 49-day rule.
It is clear that Prime Minister Modi lost out to Mr Kejriwal in the battle for the ‘man of the masses’. The BJP and the Congress should not find scapegoats for their crushing defeats. Instead, they must learn the correct lessons from their defeats.
