Sir — The re-conversion issue has left the parties opposed to the BJP red-faced. WhyIJ Re-conversion is nothing but home-coming of those who left the Hindu faith. If re-conversion has to stop, conversion should stop. And, if this is to happen, an anti-conversion law must come into force. It must be acknowledged that faith is an individual’s choice. But when mass conversions take place to cross over to other religions, it cannot be without inducement or instigation by the people belonging to a particular community.
Obviously those opposed to re-conversions are happy at the conversions, since the former results in the dwindling population of a particular community. The Opposition should lend co-operation to the Union Government in enacting an anti-conversion law.
