Ahmedabad Metropolitan Court on Monday deferred pronouncement of its order on the petition filed by Zakia Jafri, the widow of slain Congress leader Ahsan Jafri till December 2.
Zakia filed the petition against a Special Investigation Team which gave a clean chit to Chief Minister Narendra Modi for the violence that claimed over a 1,000 lives, majority of whom were Muslims in 2002 in Gujarat .
The verdict on the protest petition was scheduled for Monday (October 28) but the court stated that the order was yet being prepared and could not be delivered before December 2.
