In final trial of hitting political goal in 2019 General Elections, on Monday YSRCP Chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy started his 180 days ‘Praja Sankalp Yatra’ after paying floral tribute to his father late Dr YS Raja Sekhar Reddy in Idupulapaya if Kadapa District where YSR was cremated.

Under the caption of “We want Jagan.. We need Jagan”, YSRCP Chieftain started his foot walk from Idupulapaya to Ichchapuram of Srikakulam District.

In his Yatra, Jagan will tour 125 Assembly Constituencies in 13 districts.

Earlier, in 2003-2004, YS Rajasekhar Reddy did State wide foot walk and defeated the then Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu in 2004 elections and became a strong Chief Minister as well strong regional leader in Congress Party. In 2009 General Elections also, YSR won the elections with tough fight against TDP-TRS alliance. In 2013-14, present Chief Minister of divided Andhra Pradesh Chandra Babu Naidu also took state wide foot walk and won the 2014 General Elections. In contrast to earlier practices of state wide foot walk, Y.S. Jagan has taken early bird foot walk anticipating advance elections.

After starting of Sankalp Yatra, Y.S. Jagan addressed his first public meeting in his Assembly Constituency Pulivendula. “I will also get good name in Administration as my father Y.S. Rajasekhar Reddy did. I will implement the Election Manifesto as it is with in short time which would be prepared in just two pages after knowing public issues in Sankalp Yatra. After coming to power, I will give houses to every government employee. I will implement all welfare schemes which would be designed as per aspirations of the public. The present Chief Minister Chandra Babu Naidu is a cheater and lier. He forgotten his promises given in TDP election Manifesto. He is buying YSRCP MlAs like goats and sheeps in the market. I challenge, let them resign and fight back in direct elections”, he alleged.

“Youth will get jobs when Chandra Babu looses his job. I am not fond of money. I will work hard to be remain ever in the hearts of poor people. I will fight for special status for Andhra Pradesh. I will work for every section of the society. I will put ban on liquor. Naidu is trying relentlessly to stop my political career by all means. But public blessings, affection and belief are safeguarding me”, he said.

In his first day, Jagan walked 10 kilometres.
