Young bright minds of the country should have the courage to take on challenges and find their solutions in order to take India forward, President Pranab Mukherjee said on Wednesday.
Mukherjee shared some of his ideas for the progress of India while interacting with some scholars of 17 National Institutes of Technology (NITs) who are in the Rashtrapati Bhavan as part of the first 'In-Residence' programme, mooted by the President himself.
The President, a Rashtrapati Bhavan spokesperson stated, said that he was impressed by the willingness of these young students to take on challenges with courage and find solutions. He said if the youth of our country maintain this spirit, India will be able to overcome all the challenges that confront it.
Mukherjee said people of India have waited for long and the youth are impatient. "There is need to make haste and move forward towards our goals with confidence," he told the scholars as he called upon them to make the best use of the skills imparted to them by their institutions and plunge into the task of reshaping the nation.
Mukherjee, the spokesperson said, described the youth of today as the new, IT (Information Technology) savvy generation and asked them to do their utmost for the development and progress of India.
