Actor Yash on Monday, October 19, urged fans not to dwell on small flaws in the visual effects of his upcoming film “Ramayana” and asked audiences across Indian film industries to back the epic, which opens worldwide November 5.

Speaking at a special event in Hyderabad, Yash said viewers should not go looking for minor faults in the film’s VFX. “Please don’t try to find small faults,” he said, adding that the chance for a film of this scale would not come again for years. He said Indian cinema would slide backward if it lost producers like Namit Malhotra, and he urged people to watch with an open mind because the team’s intentions were right.

Yash, who plays Ravana, also appealed to fans of the Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Tamil and Hindi film industries to set aside differences and come together behind the project if they like it.

His remarks came after the film’s promotional material drew online criticism over its visual effects and character designs. Malhotra reportedly has been tracking audience reactions. After the teaser’s release, he acknowledged the feedback and said the team was listening as it worked to refine the film’s flaws. Some fans later noted changes in character designs. Yash praised the producer for taking criticism and corrections on board.

“Ramayana” is a two-part mythological epic directed by Nitesh Tiwari and based on the ancient tale by Valmiki. Actor Ranbir Kapoor plays Lord Rama and Actress Sai Pallavi plays the role of Sita. The cast also includes Ravi Dubey and Sunny Deol. “Ramayana: Part 1” is scheduled for release worldwide on November 5, 2026. The second part is expected during Diwali 2027.
