A 38-year old mentally disturbed woman committed suicide by jumping in front of a metro train going towards Jahangirpuri at Saket metro station on Thursday evening.
According to metro officials the incident took place around 5pm on Thursday. The deceased identified as Tasleema Bano was standing at the platform. As per the CCTV footage the woman jumped in front of the train the moment it entered the platform. She was rushed to a nearby hospital where she was declared brought dead. Metro services were disrupted for over 15 minutes as the body had to be removed. “The woman was undergoing depression and was being treated at the AIIMS. She is married but separated from her husband and resides alone at Sangam Vihar,” said a metro official.
