Will bring no-trust motion against Nitish Govt: BJP

Amarnath Tewary

A day after Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar dared the Opposition BJP to bring no-trust motion against his Government and pull it down it on the floor of the House, Bihar BJP on Thursday declared that they would definitely do so once they get the desired number. The Bihar BJP continued disrupting the State Assembly for the fifth day and demanded CBI probe into serial blasts at party’s Patna rally.

“We’ll definitely bring a no-confidence motion against Nitish Government once we get the desired number,” said the Opposition leader in the House, Nand Kishore Yadav. Senior State BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav was road construction Minister in the NDA Government.

He also alleged that Nitish Kumar was having expertise in managing numbers to save his Government and “that’s why he is sounding so confident.” “He is running his Government on the support of four Congress MlAs and the equal number of Independents and oscillated between Congress and Third Front for the general elections alliance,” charged BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav while talking to mediapersons in his State Assembly chamber.

“Now, Nitish Kumar is also trying hard to engineer defection in RJD and other parties while promising ministerial posts and offering them money. He can do anything to save his Government,” alleged the BJP leader while adding that “at the cost of managing numbers governance has taken backseat in the State”.

When asked if BJP and RJD have chalked out strategy while putting together while protesting against the Nitish Government in Bihar Assembly, Nand Kishore Yadav said that he did contact RJD legislature party leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui for strengthening Opposition unity but the call was not attended.

Earlier, on Wednesday while replying to a debate on terrorism and deteriorating law and order situation in the State, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar had dared the BJP to bring a no-trust motion and pull down his Government on the floor of the House, if his Government has failed on all fronts.

“Why don’t you bring a no-trust motion against my Government, if it has failed on all fronts...and, pull it down on the floor of the HouseIJ challenged Nitish Kumar.

While responding to the charges made against his Government, Nitish Kumar had also emphatically said that Bihar Police was acting professionally at the time of Patna rally blast and he also reiterated that Naxalism was a national problem.

“But, the recent letter sent by Union Home Minister Sushilkumar Shinde to the Bihar Chief Minister accusing him for going soft on

Naxals has vindicated our charge,” said BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav.

Meanwhile, for the fifth consecutive day the BJP continued to disrupt proceedings of State Assembly while protesting against the Nitish Kumar Government. On Thursday the BJP leaders demanded CBI probe into the serial blasts at their party’s Hunkar Rally in Patna on October 27.

“We’re demanding a CBI probe into security lapses that led to the serial blasts which killed six people of the State and injured several others,” said BJP leader Nand Kishore Yadav. Earlier, the BJP was disrupting House proceedings while demanding special debate on the issue of terrorism and deteriorating law and order situation in the State which finally led the Government succumbed and the debate took place on Wednesday.

“Now after the special debate they’re deliberately disrupting the House proceedings demanding CBI inquiry into the Patna rally blast…it shows their real face that they simply don’t want to function the Winter Session of the state legislature”, rued a State JD-U leader.

But, the BJP leaders refused to listen and protests both inside and outside the State Assembly while demanding CBI probe in Patna blast.

“Terrorists were deliberately provided opportunity to trigger blasts and the Government has going soft on them for long,” charged Opposition leader Nand Kishore Yadav.
