Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Congress leaders have firmly dismissed reports suggesting his dissatisfaction with the opposition conclave held in Bengaluru. They affirmed that the Indian National Developmental Inclusive Alliance (INDIA) remains united, and despite the BJP's attempts to create a rift within the alliance, it will not succeed.
Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala said that all the members of the alliance stand together and that INDIA remains united. He further criticized the BJP's tactics and rhetoric, expressing confidence in the alliance's strength.
Responding to BJP leader Sushil Modi's claims that Nitish Kumar was upset over not being made the convenor of the alliance, both Nitish Kumar and his party chief Lallan Singh denied any dissatisfaction. Nitish Kumar clarified that he had to return to Patna after the meeting, which was the reason for his absence at the press conference. Addressing the media, the Bihar CM emphasized that the alliance's meeting was fruitful, and they are pleased with the outcomes.
He asserted his commitment to unite all opposition parties ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls and expressed confidence that the BJP will face defeat in the upcoming elections. Nitish Kumar further explained, “My effort is to unite all opposition parties ahead of the 2024 Lok Sabha polls... And now things are taking shape.”
