Keeping an eye on the upcoming 2014-lok Sabha polls, Chief Minister Virbhadra Singh on the occasion of Independence Day announced sops for different sections of society targeting the youth and State Government employees.
Chief Minister during his address at State level function in Mandi announced that the age group of 18 to 35 years will now be eligible for the ‘Skill Upgradation Scheme’ instead of earlier provision of 25 to 35 years. The educational qualifications had been reduced to matriculation from 10+2 level.
He also announced 8 percent additional Dearness Allowance (DA) to the employees and pensioners of the State Government with immediate effect.
