The Kerala Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (VACB) has initiated a quick verification against CPI(M)’s Cooperation and Tourism Minister Kadakampally Surendran over allegations of irregularity in the appointment of the director of an agency under the State Department of Power.
The VACB informed the Special Vigilance Court in Thiruvana-nthapuram about the probe being held against Surendran as the court was considering a petition seeking a Vigilance probe against him over the allegation that he had flouted rules to appoint R Harikumar as the director of the Agency for
Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technology (Anert).
