UP law woes on BJP meet agenda

Biswajeet Banerjee

In the backdrop of Bulandshahr incident the BJP plans to sharpen its attack on the Samajwadi Party Government for its failure to control crime in its two-day State working committee meeting beginning in Jhansi from Saturday.

The strategy of the party has been well defined. It wants to hit Samajwadi Party where it hurts the most, i.e. the law and order front. The BJP would use working committee meeting an opportunity to expose Samajwadi Party and project itself as the next alternative in UP. “Where is the alternative other than BJP,” asks Kesahv Prasad Maurya, BJP State president. “SP has failed to protect life and property of aam aadmi. In Bareilly, girls have stopped going to schools because of harassment and Government is just a mute spectator,” he said.
