A case of land grabbing has been registered against senior Congress leader and chairman of the UPCC minority cell Siraj Mehndi in Jaunpur. The matter is now under investigation.
Reports said that one Syed Shazade Alam Zaidi, a resident of Purani Bazar, claimed that ‘Akhtar Hassan Rizvi Shia Degree College’ was erected illegally on the land belonging to the Raza DM Inter College. He said that land was also registered in the thesil record in the name of Raza DM Inter College. He said the accused had made criminal conspiracy in March last year when they submitted an application claiming that the tehsil record showed the land was registered in Akhtar Hassan Rizvi Shia College’s name. Zaidi claimed that when SDM Sadar conducted probe, he found that the above college was built after grabbing land and that the college was also recognised on basis of forged documents.
