Pioneer News Service

Union Minister of Health & Family Welfare and Chemicals & Fertilisers Dr Mansukh Mandaviya inspected the biogas plant premises at Shahanshahpur under Arajiline development block here on Sunday evening. This bio-dung gas plant has been built under the Govardhan scheme. During his inspection, Dr Mandaviya said that it is very important to change with time. “Today, gas is also generated from the biogas plant and manure is also made from slurry, which is  very useful for farming,” he said.

He said that due to the use of chemicals and fertilisers, there has been stability in crop production. “Its use also deteriorates the health of the soil. In such a situation, the use of organic and manure increases the productivity of the crop and the health of the soil also remains good. With the help of this biogas plant, farmers can increase their productivity. Biogas plants can develop the rural economy. At the same time, our import dependence in terms of fuel from such a project will also end,” he said, adding that with this good thinking, the Govardhan project is being implemented in the whole country.

“A model will come out of this project which will help the agriculture sector as well and will be of sustainable development,” he said. During the visit, the Union Minister also planted saplings in the plant premises at the end. UP Minister of State for AYUSH (Independent Charge) Dr Dayashankar Mishra ‘Dayalu’, District Magistrate (DM) S Rajalingam, Chief Development Officer (CDO) Himanshu Nagpal, SDM (Rajatalab) Shailendra Kumar Mishra, Plant Head Sanjay Ranjan Das, Adani CSR Manager Vikas Singh and others were also present.
