NIA brought Tabrez to Hyderabad by a special aircraft and produced him before first metropolitan sessions judge amid tight security. Even media was not allowed inside the court.

Earlier NIA had sought a transit warrant for both Tabrez and Yaseen Bhatkal, who is also among the suspects in the twin blasts on February 21, which left 17 dead and 100 injured. The twin bombs had exploded in a crowded commercial hub of Dilsukhnagar in the busy evening hour.

NIA was continuing its probe into the twin blasts to find out whether they
