PNS

The Difficult Dialogues, a premier international forum that discusses pressing issues of global importance each year in Goa, is set to return with its sixth edition from November 16 in the form of an online event to brainstorm the issue of Global Sustainability.

Since its inception in 2016, themes such as Global Finance and Civil Society, Health, Gender, Education and Law were discussed under the umbrella of Difficult Dialogue..

The upcoming edition of Difficult Dialogues would discuss a wide range of topics under the overarching theme of Global Sustainability by bringing together stakeholders from various backgrounds including sustainability experts, business leaders, change agents, campaigners, filmmakers and students from all across the world.

Since the current problem regarding sustainability is as much a communications one as a scientific one, Difficult Dialogues is partnering with the tve Global Sustainability Film Awards to produce an inspiring, week-long online event that will include dialogues, debates and films to strengthen its impact and reach.

The specially designed panel discussions along with the presentation of the film awards would take place as part of the Awards Week from November 16 to 20, comprising 90-120 minutes of environment and sustainability content each day. This week would also feature the finale of Daring Debates, a well-established debate platform for the youth to engagein policy ideation, by involving participants from Africa, Bangladesh, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and the USA.

Speaking of this partnership, Surina Narula  the founder of Difficult Dialogues, said, :I am delighted to announce that Difficult Dialogues this year is joining hands with the tve Global Sustainability Film Awards to highlight and discuss a subject that is more relevant in 2020 than ever before - Global Sustainability.

The core idea is to inculcate a strong sense of urgency to address issues on sustainability that crucially and equally affect us all.

The upcoming awards week in November will see thought provoking conversations initiated by Difficult Dialogues along with brilliant films on sustainable solutions being awarded as part of the tve GSFA 2020. t:
