Sending a stern warning to officials, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Aditya Nath Yogi said that his Government would not tolerate corruption at any level and the guilty officials will be sacked. He also declared that his Government will start a toll-free anti-corruption helpline number very soon.

Yogi gave the directives during his maiden inspection visit to Bundelkhand region. He not only held meeting with officials in Jhansi but also inspected a Government school on the outskirts of the city, went around the district hospital and inspected ‘mandi samiti’ to have get a first hand experience of the wheat purchase centres.

“This Government means business. Bundelkhand has suffered because of lack of commitment of previous Governments to ensure prosperity in this rugged region. I know previous regimes had sent money but it was siphoned off. It is my warning to officials to keep away from corruption. My Government will not only suspend corrupt officials but also sack them from service,” Yogi said during his interaction with officials at Vikas Bhawan.

The Chief Minister also declared that the BJP Government would soon start a toll-free Corruption helpline where people could lodge their complaints.
