109 deaths and 5,609 new Covid-19 patients in the last 24 hours. This is what the medical bulletin issued by the Tamil Nadu Government said on Monday. The State saw the highest number of fatalities till date on a single day while 5,800 persons were discharged following recovery from hospitals across the State.
As on Monday, there were 56,698 Covid-19 patients in Tamil Nadu. The day also saw 56, 278 persons getting tested through 122 laboratories across Tamil Nadu. The death toll in Tamil Nadu till date reached 4,241.
While the situation in Chennai remained stable with the Metropolis testing 1,021 new patients, Chengalpet (331), Kancheepuram (322) and Thiruvallur (332) , the three neighboring districts remained problematic without showing any abatement.
