Close on the heels of launching a helpline and a portal where the electorate will register their woes and seek the Chief Minister’s intervention, Mamata Banerjee on Friday unveiled yet another website where the people would enlist reasons showing why they feel proud of Didi.

The new twitter page is called Amar Garbo Mamata (Mamata my Pride). The hashtag would enable people to list points showing reasons why they love the Chief Minister and feel proud of her.

A senior Trinamool Congress leader said the page will help people to share their experiences on why they feel proud of Mamata Banerjee.

“They may even share their personal encounters with her if any, they may share their personal opinion about various steps she has taken to develop Bengal to what it is today, they may even make constructive criticism if they want,” a Minister said, adding “the entire Trinamool Congress is proud of our Didi. Now it is time for the people to share their experiences about why they feel proud about her and have been voting for her for such a long time.”

Apparently acting upon an advice of the election strategist Prashant Kishor the Chief Minister had earlier floated another portal called “Didi ki Bolo.com” where the people can register their grievances against any person which Banerjee promised to take care of at the earliest.

Apart from this a telephone number was also provided so that the people can directly call her up to register their grievances. “We have been receiving overwhelming response from the people as men and women from all walks of life, of all age and everywhere have been calling us at Nabanna (State secretariat),” the Minister said adding “their problems are being solved from the highest level.”

The TMC has reportedly struck a deal with Kishor to salvage the party’s image after the colossal loss it suffered at the hands of the BJP in the recently concluded parliamentary elections. After a series of meetings the professional strategist has offered a host of do’s and don’ts to the party and the social media outreach is one of them.

Apart from this Banerjee has asked the party leaders to reach out to the villages and meet the people and if possible spend nights in their houses learning about their problems, redressing them and assuaging their grievances. “In the next 100 days about a thousand party leaders and workers will reach out to 10,000 villages in the State,” Banerjee had said.

Giving sharp reactions to the Chief Minister’s latest move a senior CPI(M) leader and central committee member said, “this (website) will help BJP supporters to share many memories of why they feel proud of Didi: firstly they will be proud of didi because she demolished Left movement to let Lotus bloom in Bengal, secondly she gagged the poor man’s voice in Parliament by killing the Left … they will also be proud of the skills that some former Chief Ministers of Bihar, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka lacked.”
