A group of students allegedly tied a nylon thread to an 8-year-old boy’s private parts at a New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) school in Kidwai Nagar area in South Delhi. The accused allegedly tied a thread to minor’s private parts and harassed him.

The minor, however, did not inform his parents about  bullying and abuse from other students in his school for days.  According to NDMC officials police have taken up matter and are investigating it. According to police, the victim is a class-2 student of Atal Adrash School, Kidwai Nagar.  The matter came to light on Wednesday when parents of eight-year-old boy checked on him while he was taking shower on Wednesday.

They took the boy to a hospital and informed the police about the incident.

Officials said that the boy was taken to the hospital, and a PCR call was received from the hospital. Following the information, a team of police officials visited the hospital for his medical.

As per police and doctors, the children’s condition was stable but still under observation in hospital. “The kid’s condition is normal but he is still under observation. He will be taken to the school after being released from the hospital to identify those involved. Action will be taken accordingly,” the police said.

In their police complaint, the parents alleged that a nylon-type thread was tied on the private part of their son by his fellow students in school. "The condition of the child is stated to be normal but he is still under observation," police said.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Chandan Chowdhary said, "We haven't registered a case yet because the child is not able to identify the other children. We are also taking a legal opinion on the matter. We will be taking the child along with us to the school to identify the accused in the incident."

The officer said the students are on a winter holiday, but some of them will be back Saturday. Since the accused are also children, they will have to be produced before the Juvenile Justice Board.

"Since the police are investigating the matter. It is too early for us to comment on the matter," the NDMC official said.
