Stop attack, raise key issues, Didi told

Trinamool Congress chief Mamata Banerjee and the Congress on Wednesday came in for heavy shelling from BJP prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi who attacked them as also the left Front for their “mock-fights in Bengal and collaboration in Delhi.”

Ridiculing Banerjee particularly for getting jumpy over “the rising popularity of Modi” in her State the saffron leader said, “Though the people of Bengal are loving me in huge numbers your Didi is getting angry at me. Such anger is not good for health and her doctors should watch out,” adding she had become so apprehensive of the Modi wave that “my name occupies half of her recent speeches.”

Modi was speaking about recent attacks launched by Banerjee on him. “It is strange that a tigress like Didi is talking of throwing me behind the bars but doing nothing about those who stole people’s money in the Saradha scam and those who perpetrate atrocities on women. If you have the courage instead of jailing me you should jail the chit fund scamsters and rapists,” he said adding in the name of political change Bengal has become a place where scams were taking place one after the other and the Government was doing nothing about that.

Attacking Banerjee for “showing your anger elsewhere instead of giving good governance to your people” Modi asked “Didi becomes angry on me when I raise the Saradha issue. Is there a need for her to fear! Has she taken money! If not then why is she afraid! Why does she not take action and return the money of thousands of poor depositors!”

Raising the burning issues like inflation, unemployment, lack of sanitation, health and food that had been hurting the country for quite some time now he said, “it is strange that instead of raising these relevant issues, the parties like the Congress, TMC and the left have struck a hidden understanding and make an agenda to attack Modi”.
