Taking a dig at Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav’s inspection visit to districts, the State unit of BJP termed it an attempt to divert people’s attention from rise in crime against women. BJP spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak said the CM held a chaupal at a village in Shravasti district to know the ground reality. This shows till now he had no idea about non-implementation of schemes at the village level, he said on Wednesday.
He said the Government has failed on all fronts. The law and order situation in the State is bad and it is going to be worse with every passing day. Meanwhile, BJP State president laxmi Kant Bajpai has written a letter to the Governor regarding increase in crime against the women and urged him to take decisions at his end so that people could get relief.
