Police registered a case in this regard and started investigations. The victim is a constable in the Border Security Force (BSF) posted in Indore.

The victim alleged that her father-in-law and husband’s brother also threatened to implicate her in a false case. The victim also accused her husband’s brother of physical harassment.

The victim, who reached the SSP office in Meerut with a complaint on Thursday, said that she got married in October 2022. Her father-in-law Sirajuddin is a police inspector posted at Deoband in Saharanpur district. She said that her husband is unemployed and stays at home.

According to the victim, when she complained to her husband about his father and brother, he laughed off her issues.

The victim reached the SSP office, demanding action against the accused. “If no action is taken by police, I will raise the issue with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” she said.

SSP Rohit Singh Sajwan confirmed that the woman had filed a complaint against her father-in-law and brother-in-law for physical harassment. “Investigation is being conducted and appropriate legal action will be taken,” the SSP said.
