Now goat milk will take care of an about a month-old leopard cub at the high altitude zoo in Nainital, which was separated from its mother in terai-west forest division's Kashipur range. “Normal milk may cause health disorder among the wild animals which are totally dependent on milk of its mother,” said Sameer Sinha, Chief Conservator of Forest (CCF), western circle of the Kumaon division, while talking to The Pioneer.

“Since the Nainital zoo is better equipped to take care of the wild animals, that is why we decided to shift the leopard cub which is hardly a month-old to the zoo in Nainital. In the overall supervision as well care of the veterinary doctors and experts at the zoo, we thought the leopard cub will be in better position in terms of its health at the zoo. That is why we decided to shift the leopard cub in the Nainital zoo premises,” added the CCF, western circle of the Kumaon divison. The leopard cub was recovered by the villagers from a wheat crop field in Rahmankhera village of the Terai-west forest division's Kashipur range on Tuesday.
