The pro-quota outfit Patidar Anamat Andolan Samiti (PAAS) led by 24-year-old Hardik Patel on Thursday made allegation against BJP leaders for releasing Patel’s alleged sex videos which have become viral on social media.
PAAS is demanding reservation for Patidar youth in Government jobs and educational institutions under Other Backward Caste (OBC) category. A senior PAAS leader and close aide of Hardik, Dinesh Bambhania claimed that he came to know from ‘reliable sources’ that nearly 52 sex videos of PAAS leaders including 22 of Hardik prepared by BJP.
Bambhania went on to blame that all videos were prepared under the instruction Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani and Gujarat BJP chief Jitu Vaghani and for the purpose they have spent more than Rs 40 crore. Just like Narayan Sai, son of self-styled godman Asaram who is in jail under the charges of rape, BJP would try to lodge a similar complaint against Hardik using a woman, he added.
He further said that such tactics were being used by the ruling party to nullify Hardik’s constantly increasing popularity in view of ensuing elections. ‘‘They filed police cases including sedition, put him behind the bars and even tried to lure him by offering money,’’ he claimed.
It is worth mentioning that Patel has been on the back foot since early this week after slease videos showing a person looking like Hardik involved in sexual escapades. BJP on its part denied having any link with the release of video clips. “They are contradicting themselves. On one hand they say that someone within has made these CDs as they were provided with recording equipment and on the other they are saying that it is morphed! No one is saying whether they are true or not. All the allegations are Congress led,” said Gujarat’s Deputy Chief Minister Nitin Patel.
