Noida Police arrested seven gangsters associated with Dujana gang after an encounter in Badalpur on Tuesday night. With their arrest, police claims to have solved dozens of cases. A large quantity of arms and ammunition was also seized from their possession.
According to the police, a tip-off was received that five gang members — involved in extortion, loot and murder — will arrive in Badalpur area on Tuesday night. The gang members were asked to surrender but they started firing and police retaliated. Five criminals — Jainendra, Mahesh, Jitendra, Rajesh and Ravi — were forced to surrender after a brief encounter. On their instances, two of their accomplices were also arrested.
Both Bhikham and Rajesh were providing shelter to other gang members.During the interrogation, the arrested criminals accepted their involvement in criminal activities. The also accepted their hand in the murder of BJP leader Vijay Pandit and other prominent persons of the area. “As Anil Dujana has been lodged in jail, these people were taking care of the whole business of the gang. They were conducting crimes on the direction of Dujana and were mainly emphasising to extract money from traders,” said a senior police official.
