Taking exception to new Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis' move to appoint a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Mumbai, the Shiv Sena on Monday asked the ruling BJP to hold consultations with it before taking major policy initiatives for the metropolis. "The current Chief Minister has big plans for the State. He wants to do good work for Maharashtra. But it will be better for him and his party (BJP) to take the Shiv Sena into confidence before deciding on matters relating to Mumbai," the Sena stated in an editorial published in its official mouth-piece "Saamana". "What will you achieve by appointing a CEO for MumbaiIJ.While we wish good luck in your new assignment, we request you not to invite the wrath or curse of Mumbaikars in the process," the Sena added.
