Following the Delhi HC order to demolish illegal construction of property related to AAP MlA Dinesh Mohania, South Delhi Municipal Corporation (SDMC) on Monday demolished a six-storey building in Khanpur area. During the drive, the staff also faced wrath of MlA supporters following which police force was deployed near his house. The demolition was carried out on the orders of Delhi High Court.
The SDMC said that the MlA supporters engaged with the staff and tried to foil drive by creating hooliganism. Meanwhile, drive was carried and illegal portions were demolished by the team. The HC, in its earlier order, had declared construction of fifth and sixth floor on a building in Shiva Park of Khanpur. As property belongs to a sitting MlA who is Vice-Chairman of DJB also, it created furore over the political circles.
