Final touches are being given to deck up the native village of Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav to make it picture perfect for the grand Tilak ceremony of his grandnephew and Mainpuri MP Tej Pratap Yadav in Saifai on Saturday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to attend the Tilak ceremony on February 21. Tej Pratap is marrying Raj lakshmi, the youngest daughter of Rashtriya Janata Dal chief lalu Prasad in New Delhi on February 26.
Saifai has virtually turned into a fortress, as security personnel have been deployed in each corner in view of the presence of more than 5,000 VVIPs. Apart from the Prime Minister, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, UP Governor Ram Naik, BJP president Amit Shah and Congress president Sonia Gandhi have also been invited for the Tilak function.
More than 1.5 lakh people have been invited to the pre-wedding bash. The bride would not be present during the Tilak.
lalu reached Saifai with his relatives in a tourist bus. SP president Mulayam Singh Yadav, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav, MP Ram Gopal Yadav and other family members welcomed lalu and his family.
A grand pandal bearing a festive look with coloured curtains and decorative lights with a decked up stage is being given final make up at Saifai where RJD President lalu Prasad will be performing the Tilak of his youngest daughter Raj laxmi.
A musical night has been organised for the entertainment of the guests.
A Delhi-based company Touchwood Entertainment has been given the responsibility to organise a musical night in which many renowned artistes from the Bollywood would perform.
Amitabh Bachchan and his family will be present on the occasion. Several Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Muzaffar Ali and others will also grace the function. Several senior political leaders of UP will also visit Saifai on the occasion. Almost all the UP Ministers have also been invited.
