The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) on Monday said that the Narendra Modi Government should fulfil the promises made during the lok Sabha elections particularly pertaining to the black money stashed away in Swiss banks and construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya.
“We don’t know what the problem is in declaring names of people who have stashed away black money in foreign banks. It is the duty of the Government to clear the hurdles. like common people, the RSS also wants disclosure of names in the black money issue,” said Sangh Sarkaryavah Suresh Bhaiyyaji Joshi while addressing a Press conference here.
The RSS leader also said, “Ram Temple exists in Ayodhya and people worship there daily. The only issue is to make it a grand temple. As the matter is in the Supreme Court, hence, the Centre should try to remove the hurdle and fulfil the promise made to the people during the elections,” he said.
When asked whether the BJP should take support of the NCP, he said, “The RSS has no role to even comment on whether the BJP should go with the Shiv Sena or the NCP for the formation of Maharastra Government. The decision should be taken by BJP leaders themselves. The RSS never interferes in any political matters.”
On “love Jehad” issue, Joshi said the Hindu community should be made aware about it and it should not be seen as a communal matter.
Though the RSS leader refused to comment on Meerut “love Jehad” case in which the girl retracted her statement, on Jharkhand issue involving a girl shooter, he said the incident was related to love Jehad.
The three-day meeting of the RSS national working council ended here on Sunday with a resolve to extend shakhas in the rural areas.
He refuted allegations that during the recent lok Sabha elections RSS had worked for the BJP. “We only want a change in the governance because the last Government was very corrupt. So we worked for 100 per cent voting. It is unfortunate we failed to come close to that mark,’’ he said.
Joshi said there could be several critical remarks against the organisation but they are not worried about it. “As the people love and support us, why should we worry about what the politicians or political outfit say about usIJ” he said.
The RSS leader claimed that criticism of the RSS do not stand as more than 1.25 lakh youth have joined the organisation last year. Reiterating RSS ideology on Hindutava, Joshi made it clear that the organisation continues to apprise majority community of their rights and duties.
