Rajnath warns Nitish about Cong

PNS

Cautioning Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar against forging any alliance with the Congress as any such move will ultimately wipe out his party from the political horizon itself, BJP President Rajnath Singh said that Kumar’s sudden opposition to Narendra Modi is “incomprehensible”, asking Kumar to explain what wrong his party did in appointing the most popular leader of the country as Chief of the BJP Election Campaign Committee.

Inaugurating BJP Workers Meeting at Sanjay Gandhi stadium in Patna on Sunday, Rajnath Singh said that Nitish Kumar had no problem when Narendra Modi was appointed Chief Minister of Gujarat on three successive terms but Nitish Kumar suddenly started opposing him for no reason.

The JD (U) severed its 17 year old ties with the BJP without any consideration, even as such a long association between two parties are based not only on political reasons but also emotional factors are on work.

The BJP President likened the Congress with Bali, stating that the JD (U)’s half of its total strength will be transferred to the Congress if CM ties up with the Congress as used to happen with anybody coming close to Bali, a character from Ramayan.

Obliquely calling Congress Dhritrashtra, BJP President said that the Congress wants to squeeze JD(U) to pieces as Dhritrashtra tried to kill Bhim but ultimately he ended with crushing Bhim’s statue only.

“Whether the JD (U) wants to go along with the same Congress under whose rule the probe into the Coalgate reached the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) too,” he added.

Amid loud chanting of NaMo NaMo (Narendra Modi) slogans by the party workers, the BJP President said that his party was only making arrangements to emerge victorious in the 2014 lok Sabha election by elevating Narendra Modi and provide an alternative Government when corruption and price rise are at the peak under the UPA Government.

“Since I was impressed with the third successive victory of the BJP in the Gujarat assembly election, I wanted to give the charge of the election campaign to a capable person,” he added. The JD (U) was an ally of the NDA even after 2002 when Godhra incident took place but Narendra Modi has become an issue for Nitish Kumar now, the BJP President wondered.

Singh said that Gujarat model of development is discussed even in the developed countries like United States and England, all BJP ruled States including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa are making economic development remarkably well. The BJP President also accused Nitish Kumar of insulting BJP Ministers of his cabinet by making recommendation for their dismissal.

“Even while you are breaking friendship with somebody, you should not insult him as it is unacceptable in any civilised society,” he remarked. Former Deputy Chief Minister and leader of Opposition in the State legislative council, Sushil Kumar Modi said that Nitish Kumar had cancelled dinner for the senior BJP leaders when they were in Patna in connection with the partyRss National executive meeting in 2010.

“Nitish Kumar had put a condition that Narendra Modi should not come to the dinner and when I refused to concede his demand, the dinner was cancelled,” he recalled. He said that the next Government will be formed at the centre on the strength of the BJPRss remarkable performance in the 2014 general election.

BJP Spokesperson Shahnawaz Hussain said that Nitish Kumar was more concerned about getting the certificate of secularism from Prime Minister instead of thinking about the development of the people of the State.

“The BJP made him Union Minister, Chief Minister but how his party can promote him to the PM” he asked, contending that the Chief Minister snapped his ties with the BJP to fulfill his ambition of becoming Prime Minister.

The BJP leader said that the Congress first tried to become messiah of Muslims, later RJD Chief lalu Prasad also attempted so but now Nitish Kumar has submitted his “tender to get the contract for playing the secular card”.
