Rajasthan Government has unveiled its developed Rajasthan @2047 Vision Document, outlining a roadmap to make it a developed State in line with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s goal of transforming India into a developed nation by the centenary year of Independence. The vision document aims for a $ 4.3 trillion economy built on four pillars — agriculture, industry, tourism, and renewable energy.

The Growth Vision Today, Rajasthan is India’s seventh-largest economy with a Gross State Domestic Product (GSDP) of around $197 billion. By 2028–29, it targets to reach $350 billion and, by 2047, touch an ambitious $4.3 trillion. Achieving this will require a mix of industrial diversification, private investment, technology adoption, and policy reforms.

The document emphasises that “economic progress must reach people.” This means growth will not be limited to big cities — rural clusters, small towns, and border districts will also become engines of opportunity. New Engines of IndustryRajasthan’s growth plan identifies five sectors as its major drivers — manufacturing, renewable energy, mining, tourism, and services. The State is already India’s largest producer of cement, zinc, marble, and solar power.  It now wants to move beyond raw production to value-added industries. Initiatives like the Delhi-Mumbai Industrial Corridor (DMIC) and new industrial zones in Bhiwadi, Alwar, and Jodhpur will anchor this transition. MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) are central to the plan.
